How Glynce reads food macros
Updated June 24, 2026
Glynce stores food macros on a per 100 gram basis and scales them to the serving you enter. That is why the amount you log changes the carbs, protein, and fat you see.
Why the serving matters
- A food's carbs are stored for 100 grams, then scaled to your portion.
- Entering 200 grams doubles the numbers, entering 50 grams halves them.
- Getting the serving right is what makes the totals reflect your real meal.
If a total looks off, the serving size is almost always the reason. Adjust the amount and the numbers follow.
Different foods use different serving units. Glynce scales from the food's own basis, so pick the serving that matches how much you actually ate.
