Adding glucose readings manually

Updated June 18, 2026

You can add readings by hand, for example from a finger stick or meter. This is useful when you have no CGM connected, or to record a check between sensor readings.

Steps

  1. Open Glynce and tap the add button on your glucose card.
  2. Enter the value in your chosen unit and confirm.

Glynce plots manual readings on your graph and connects the points, so you still see the shape of your day.

Manual readings never go stale in the app, because you entered them deliberately. A CGM value is treated differently, since Glynce drops it to "--" once it is too old to be trusted.
