Why is my data delayed or missing?

Updated June 26, 2026

A short delay is normal for cloud-based sources, and gaps usually mean the source stopped uploading for a while. Both are worth understanding before you worry.

Why a delay happens

LibreLinkUp and Dexcom follow your readings through the manufacturer's cloud. Your value has to reach that cloud before Glynce can read it, so it can arrive a few minutes later than in your own CGM app.

Why a gap happens

  • Your sensor lost connection to your phone, so nothing reached the cloud.
  • The source app stopped running or lost internet.
  • A sensor warm-up or change left a stretch with no readings.

What to check

  1. Confirm your CGM app is showing current readings itself.
  2. Check that sharing or following is still active.
  3. Make sure your phone has internet.

When a value is too old to trust, Glynce shows "--" instead of the last known number. That is deliberate, because a stale value that looks current is more misleading than a clearly missing one.
