Every source Glynce reads

Connect once, and your glucose readings flow into your dashboard, widgets, complications, and Live Activities from there. Connecting a sensor is free.

Dexcom, FreeStyle Libre, Abbott Lingo, Eversense, Medtronic, Medtrum, Nightscout, Apple Health, Apple Watch, and CarPlay are trademarks of their respective owners. Glynce is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them.

Why connect your sensor to Glynce?

Your sensor already has an app. This is about what happens to the readings once they exist.

One connection, every surface
You sign in once. From then on the readings turn up on your Home Screen, Lock Screen, and CarPlay, on your watch face, and beside every meal you log, without you connecting anything a second time.
Your history arrives with you
The first time you connect, Glynce pulls up to a year of past readings rather than starting you at zero. Your trends are worth reading in week one instead of month three.
It does not replace your sensor's own app
Glynce follows your readings, it does not take them over. Your maker's app carries on doing its job, including the alarms it is certified for, and Glynce is careful not to write duplicates into Apple Health behind it.
Connecting costs nothing
Every source on this page is free to connect, and your live glucose stays free. Glynce Plus is for the deeper analytics, not for talking to your sensor.

Anything that writes to Apple Health

Even if your sensor is not on the list above, it may already be covered. If your meter, sensor, or another app writes glucose to Apple Health, Glynce can read it from there and treat it like any other source. Abbott Lingo works exactly this way.

Apple Health works in both directions. Glynce reads your glucose, steps, activity, and sleep from it, and writes your readings, meals, and water back, once you grant access.

You do not need a CGM to start

Glynce is more useful with a continuous glucose monitor, but it does not require one. You can add readings by hand, and food logging, daily goals, and insights all work the same either way.

Start without one and connect a sensor later. Nothing you have logged goes to waste.

CGM connection questions

Does Glynce connect to my sensor directly?

No. Glynce does not pair with a sensor over Bluetooth and does not scan one over NFC. It follows your readings through the service your sensor already uploads to, such as Dexcom Share, LibreLinkUp, or CareLink, or it reads them from Apple Health. That is also why a reading can reach Glynce a few minutes after it appears in your maker's own app.

Can I connect more than one CGM at a time?

No, Glynce reads from one source at a time. You can switch to another whenever you like, which is what you want when you change sensor brands or fall back to Apple Health for a while.

How is Abbott Lingo supported?

Through Apple Health. There is no Lingo account to sign into in Glynce. Lingo writes your glucose into Apple Health, and Glynce reads it from there like any other Health source.

Do I need an internet connection?

For most sources, yes. Dexcom, FreeStyle Libre, Eversense, Medtronic, Medtrum, and Nightscout all reach your readings through a service, so without a connection no new readings arrive.

Apple Health and manual entry are the exceptions. Both live on your device, so they keep working with no connection at all.

How much history do I get when I connect?

Glynce pulls up to a year of past readings the first time you connect a source, so your trends and your estimated A1c mean something straight away. How far back it actually reaches depends on how much history that service still holds for you.
