What is Glynce?
Glynce is a personal glucose and nutrition dashboard built for adults living with type 1 diabetes. It brings your continuous glucose monitor (CGM) data, food logging, and trends together in one place on iPhone and Apple Watch, with widgets and complications so your numbers are always a glance away.
Is Glynce a medical device? Can I make treatment decisions with it?
No. Glynce is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Glucose values and alerts shown in Glynce can be delayed, missing, or inaccurate. Always confirm with a fingerstick and your CGM's official app, and never make insulin, food, or other treatment decisions based on Glynce alone. For any medical decision, follow the guidance of your diabetes care team.
Which CGMs and data sources does Glynce support?
Glynce can show data from:
- Dexcom (through Dexcom Share)
- FreeStyle Libre
- Nightscout
- Other sources that write glucose into Apple Health
If your sensor can feed Apple Health, Glynce can usually read it from there.
Do background alerts work with every source?
Background glucose alerts (high and low notifications while Glynce is closed) need a direct connection to Dexcom Share, Libre, or Nightscout. Sources that reach Glynce only through Apple Health cannot be checked while the app is closed, so for those you should rely on your CGM's own app for alerts. Glynce never replaces the alarms in your CGM's official app.
How is my health data handled?
Your glucose and food data belong to you. We explain exactly what we collect, how it is used, and who it is shared with in our Privacy Policy. Glynce is operated from the Netherlands and follows the GDPR, including explicit consent before any health data is processed on our servers for background alerts.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from inside the app, under Settings. Deletion removes your data from our servers and cannot be undone.
What does Glynce cost?
Core glucose tracking is available to every account. Some advanced features may require a subscription. Any paid features and prices are shown in the app before you buy, and subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID.
Which devices does Glynce run on?
Glynce runs on iPhone and Apple Watch, with Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets plus watch complications.
How do I get help?
Email us at support@glynce.app and we will get back to you. You can also send feature requests and bug reports from inside the app, under Settings.
