Getting started

What is Glynce?

Glynce is an all-in-one diabetes app that brings your CGM readings, food logging, Apple Watch, daily goals, and glucose insights together in one simple dashboard on iPhone and Apple Watch. It works with all the major continuous glucose monitors, so your glucose lands in one place.

Can I use Glynce without a CGM?

Yes. Add glucose readings by hand, or let Glynce pick them up from Apple Health if a meter or another app writes them there. Food logging, daily goals, and insights all work either way, so you can start without a continuous glucose monitor and connect one later.

Which devices does Glynce run on?

Glynce runs on iPhone and Apple Watch, with Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets plus watch complications, so your numbers are always a glance away.

Glucose, CGMs & food

Which CGMs does Glynce support?

Glynce works with:

  • Dexcom
  • FreeStyle Libre
  • Abbott Lingo
  • Eversense
  • Medtronic
  • Medtrum
  • Nightscout
  • Apple Health

Your readings sync automatically once connected, and you can also add them by hand. If your sensor can write to Apple Health, Glynce can usually read it from there.

Does Glynce work with Apple Health?

Yes, in both directions. Glynce reads glucose from Apple Health, along with your steps, activity, and sleep, so your trends line up with the rest of your day. Once you grant access it writes your glucose readings, meals, and water back to Apple Health as well.

How does food logging work?

Scan a barcode, snap a photo, describe your meal in a few words, or search the food library, and Glynce fills in the nutrition for you. Every meal lands on your glucose chart, so you can see the response it caused instead of guessing.

Can I see my glucose without opening the app?

Yes. Your glucose shows up on:

  • Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets
  • Apple Watch app and complications
  • Live Activities and the Dynamic Island
  • The CarPlay dashboard
Does Glynce alert me about highs and lows?

Glynce can show high, low, and rapid-change notifications on your device while the app is running, based on the thresholds you set. These are informational only and run on your device. They are not a replacement for the alarms in your CGM’s official app, which you should keep on for alerts while your phone is locked or Glynce is closed.

Privacy & safety

How is my health data handled?

Your glucose is processed on your device, not on our servers. Glynce is operated from the Netherlands and follows the GDPR. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what we collect, how it is used, and who it is shared with.

Is Glynce a medical device?

No. Glynce is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Glucose values and alerts in Glynce can be delayed, missing, or inaccurate. Always confirm with a fingerstick and your CGM’s official app, and never make insulin, food, or other treatment decisions based on Glynce alone. For any medical decision, follow the guidance of your diabetes care team.

Can I delete my account and data?

Yes. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from inside the app, under Settings. Deletion removes your data from our servers and cannot be undone.

Billing & support

What does Glynce cost?

Core glucose tracking is free on every account. Some advanced features are part of Glynce Plus, a subscription. Any paid features and prices are shown in the app before you buy, and subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID.

How do I get help?

Email us at support@glynce.app and we’ll get back to you. You can also send feature requests and bug reports from inside the app, under Settings.
